Este ano estive a trabalhar no festival Optimus Alive a fotografar as acções da Heineken, que patrocinava o palco secundário e por isso tive oportunidade de fotografar algumas bandas que lá tocaram. Quando não estava a fotografar outras coisas dava um pulinho a este palco.

Ao longo desta semana vou publicando as fotos de cada banda, em posts separados. Hoje é a vez dos Quelle Dead Gazelle.

This year I had the oportunity to work at the Optimus Alive festival shooting everything Heineken did in the festival. Heineken was the sponsor of the second stage, so I could shoot some of the bands that played that stage. Whenever I wasn't shooting something else, I shot the band that was playing there.

During this week I'l post each band in a separate post. Today is Quelle Dead Gazelle's turn.

Santa Maria Summer Fest 2013 | Fotografias Analógicas

Finalmente pude revelar as fotografias que tirei com a minha câmara analógica durante o festival Santa Maria Summer Fest, em Beja.

Quis experimentar como funcionava este tipo de fotografia em contexto de concerto e também ganhar alguma experiência a fotografar com rolo. Decidi fotografar principalmente o concerto dos Crise Total, no segundo dia do festival, porque era o concerto mais punk do festival e penso que este estilo de imagem mais old school, mais sujo, combinava bem com a banda e o público.

O meu scanner não é muito bom, por isso a digitalização das fotos não é tão boa como eu gostaria.

Finally I could reveal the photos I took with my film camera during the festival Santa Maria Summer Fest, in Beja.

I wanted to try to work this type of photography in the context of concert and also gain some experience shooting with film. I decided to shoot mostly Crise Total's show, on the second day of the fest, because it was the punkest show of the festival and I think this picture style, more old school, dirtier, matched well with the band and the audience.

My scanner is not very good, so the scanning of the photos is not as good as I would like.

A Festa Faz Música Lisboa é uma iniciativa para promover a música portuguesa de vários géneros e os espaços da cidade de Lisboa. Fui assistir a uns poucos dos 60 concertos organizados ao longo do dia e tirei algumas fotos.

The Faz Música Lisboa Fest is an initiative to promote portuguese music of various genres, and the urban spaces of Lisbon. I saw a few of the 60 concerts held throughout the day and took some pictures.

É muito raro haverem iniciativas verdadeiramente interessantes na minha terra, Beja. No entanto, no fim de semana de 7 a 9 de Junho haviam duas: o Festival de BD de Beja e o Santa Maria Summer Fest. Claro que não podia deixar de ir fotografar este segundo evento.

Devido a uma série de questões, não me foi possível fotografar todas as bandas em nenhum dos dias. Também, no segundo dia apenas tirei fotografias com a minha câmara analógica e ainda não me foi possível revelá-las.

Hoje deixo-vos fotos do primeiro dia do festival.

It's very rare to have really interesting initiatives in my hometown, Beja. However, the weekend of 7 to 9 June there were two: the Beja Comic Book Festival and Santa Maria Summer Fest. Of course I could not miss photographing this second event.

Due to a series of events, I was not able to photograph all the bands in any of the days. Also, on the second day just took pictures with my film camera and yet I was unable to reveal them.

Today I leave you with photos of the first day of the festival.
